Checkout shopping cart: Get started with the Google Checkout shopping cart

The Google Checkout shopping cart is a quick and easy way to add a shopping cart to your website. Here's how to get started:

  1. Sign up for Google Checkout
  2. Edit your account settings to accept unsigned shopping carts

    To accept unsigned carts:

    1. Sign in to Google Checkout.
    2. Click the Settings tab.
    3. Click Integration.
    4. Remove the check in the box beside 'My company will only post digitally signed carts.'
    5. Click Save.

  3. Generate shopping cart code

    1. Click the Tools tab.
    2. Click Checkout cart.
    3. Follow the instructions in the Checkout Cart wizard onscreen.
    4. Click Create button code.
    5. Click any part of the code snippet in the box that appears in the pop-up window. The entire code snippet will be highlighted.
    6. Click Copy to clipboard.

    Alternatively, you can manually create and edit Checkout shopping cart code. For more details, see the complete API documentation.

  4. Add the shopping cart code to your website
    Paste the code snippet in an appropriate location on your website.

  5. Start processing orders
    Once you update your website's HTML with the shopping cart code, you can start accepting orders and processing them through Google Checkout immediately. Please be sure to review your order prices for accuracy.
