After you sign up for Google Checkout, you must first complete the required steps before you can accept donations. After you've completed all the steps, you can then can add our HTML code snippet to your website to display Donate buttons:
- Sign in to Google Checkout.
- Click the Tools tab.
- Click Donation buttons.
- Select your site's background color.
- Enter the donation summary, description, and amount for your button.
- Click Create button code.
- Click any part of the code snippet in the box that appears at the bottom of the page. The entire code snippet will be highlighted.
- Click Copy to clipboard.
- Paste the code snippet in an appropriate location on your website.
Once you update your website's HTML with the Donate button code, you can start accepting donations and processing them through Google Checkout immediately.
You may not alter the appearance or functionality of Donate buttons in any way.
Note: Donation buttons are for cash donations. If you're selling physical goods for your non-profit organization, you can use standard Checkout Buy Now buttons.
